Masonic Donation gives help to Kings Mill Neo Natal Unit

When Abigail, the daughter of a Mansfield Freemason had to be admitted to the Kings Mill Hospital Neo Natal Unit following the birth of her daughter Edie, the whole family were extremely concerned about the serious condition baby Edie found herself in

The most incredible help was at hand however, in the form of the Unit and the Emily Harris Foundation who support the work of the Neo Natal Unit in Mansfield

The level of care and support the family received made the very worrying time for the family bearable as they clearly saw they were in excellent caring hands

The level of support that the Emily Harris Foundation provides can be illustrated at their website above

Keen to show their sincere gratitude, the family, led by Grandad Gary , asked his Masonic Lodge (Saint Peter's 8493) if they would consider a small donation to support the work of the Foundation

Garys colleagues knew how much the family had been through so had no hesitation to provide a donation to the Emily Harris Foundation of £500

The Foundation Manager Clare Harris was very grateful for the donation which enabled the Foundation to continue its life changing support for families at a very difficult and often painful time

Pictured are Baby Edie, her big sister Maisie, Mum and Dad Abigail and Sean and Clare Harris on behalf of the Foundation and Gary Hallam and Simon Osborne who are the Secretary and Master of Saint Peter's Lodge who were both proud they could help and show their support for Garys family

Baby Edie is now doing well at home but the family are in no doubt that the care received in the Neo Natal unit made all the difference to their and many other families
