About the Lodge

The Lodge has an active, enthusiastic, and caring membership, whose ceremonies are sincere, dignified without being regimental and having warmth of feeling, typifying all the good aspects of Freemasonry.

The Lodge Installation meeting is held on the third Tuesday of October at 5.00pm. The six subsequent regular meetings are held on the third Tuesday of, November, January, February, March, April, May each year at 6.00pm. In addition to this regular meeting, we host a Christmas meal instead, which is open to friends and family.

Diversity in membership is important to Minster Lodge, it really does benefit from having a group of people with a range of different personalities, skills, and qualities.
Today, Minster lodge is one of the largest lodges in Nottinghamshire and with over twenty active members, aged from their early thirties to their late eighties and strive to provide its members with the opportunity to embark on an amazing life-long journey of learning and self-discovery.
We like to ensure that all our new members are made to feel welcome, have all their questions answered and to help sow the seed for each new member to have a long, happy, and enjoyable association with Freemasonry.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of Freemasonry is visiting other Lodges and getting involved in their traditions and hospitality. This widens your social network and new friends are easily made. Minster Lodge actively encourage members to visit other Lodges and invites members of other Lodges to visit Minster.

The opportunity to give time and / or money to a wide range of charitable organisations is a strong reason for many becoming a freemason.
