Men in Sheds Ransom Wood is a welcoming space where older and retired men can connect, create, and support one another. Through shared woodworking projects, conversation, and plenty of laughter, members rebuild confidence, purpose, and community spirit—especially vital in the wake of COVID-19. For just £3 a session, men gain companionship, practical skills, and a safe space to talk openly about life’s challenges. By reducing loneliness and promoting wellbeing, this inspiring charity is truly changing—and even saving—lives.
Dennis Owen is responsible for the running of Men in Sheds Ransom Wood, and he met up with W Bro John Pawlik, Chairman of the Provincial Charity Committee to see how the extraction equipment purchased by means of a grant provided by the Committee, has benefited the members of the group over the last twelve months.

And to further mark the occasion, W Bri John also donated a cheque for £300 to Dennis from the members of Elliott Lodge No 8569, which was gratefully received.
A huge congratulations to the Brethren of Elliott Lodge for their contribution to such a wonderful cause.
