There has been reason for Nottinghamshire Freemasons to celebrate as Roger Garrett, the Chair of Teddies for Loving Care (TLC) Notts, has been recognised by His Majesty the King in the Birthday Honours List 2025.
Roger has received the honour of the British Empire Medal (BEM) for his hands-on service to local community in Nottinghamshire. It recognises individuals who have made a significant impactful contribution to their community over a sustained period, often through charitable or voluntary work.
The Province of Nottinghamshire should be immensely proud of Roger, as the award recognises his endeavours in a purely Masonic context, demonstrating how much the generosity of the Freemasons help the community. That Roger galvanised our members so successfully and for so long in supporting projects and organisations which needed the assistance we were able to offer, is a true recognition of the dedicated and enthusiastic individual he his.
The Freemasons of Nottinghamshire all send a hearty and well deserved 'Congratulations' to Roger on his wonderful acknowledgement.
