Brethren,
The Provincial Grand Master, Rt W Bro Julian Townsend, is delighted to announce that the Province will be offering its support to the #inthistogether2025 campaign which intends to upskill 2025 people (of all ages) in life saving skills across Nottinghamshire by the end of December 2025. At the heart of this initiative is "Stop the Bleed" training and we have encouraged our centres across the Province to open their doors to facilitate the training of as many members of the public on how to apply first aid for a major bleed.
We are very proud to announce that the management of numerous Freemasons Halls have kindly agreed to make their venues available for the training on:
The training involves learning to identify safe areas, use direct pressure, pack deep wounds with gauze or cloth, and apply a tourniquet to an injured limb. The course is open to the public, requires no medial background, and involves both classroom and hands-on practical exercises.
If any member wishes to reserve a place, please scan the QR code of the venue of choice and follow the booking instructions.
In addition, as the training will also be open to the local community, the Provincial Grand Master has requested for willing volunteers to provide tours of the Temple on the day if requested from any visitor with an interest in finding out more about Freemasonry, particularly here in Nottinghamshire.
