Barnaby Webber, Grace O'Malley-Kumar and Ian Coates were fatally stabbed in the street in the early hours of Tuesday 13th June 2023. These tragic events, which took place so close to our Freemasons Hall in Goldsmith Street, left most people bewildered at what is happening in our neighbourhoods and on our streets and pondering whether more could be done to save lives.
Having recently discovered the CitizenAID Charity and the #inthistogether2025 campaign, started by Liz Barrett OBE DL and Head of Academy Transformation Trust Further Education College in Sutton-In-Ashfield, it is believed that, with your support, we can now make a positive impact, certainly here in Nottinghamshire and potentially nationwide.
We are supporting the #inthistogether2025 campaign which intends to upskill 2025 people (of all ages) in life saving skills across Nottinghamshire by the end of December 2025. At the heart of this initiative is "Stop the Bleed" training and we have encouraged our centres across the Province to open their doors to facilitate the training of as many members of the public on how to apply first aid for a major bleed.
CitizenAID Charity, started by Major General Tim Hodgetts CBE DL, has designed a free App that gives concise guidance on what to do in case of various emergencies.
In recognition of the #inthistogether2025 campaign, you are encouraged to download the App and persuade as many of friends and relations to do likewise.
