The PGM's Daughter Takes on the Sherwood Pines Half Marathon 2026
Francesca Townsend, the daughter of the Provincial Grand Master, R W Bro Julian Patrick Townsend and his wife Diane, is taking on the Sherwood Pines Half Marathon 2026, all to raise funds for the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF). ![]() Francesca wishes to deliver her message to all the members of the Province. “ I am running the Sherwood Pines Half Marathon on the 15 March 2026 to support the Masonic Charitable Foundation. I started my training in late December 2025, and across the next few months I’ll be training several times a week in preparation. I was made aware of the work of the MCF through my dad, Julian Townsend, who is the PGM of Nottinghamshire. The MCF provides support and assistance to those in need, including Freemasons, their families, and the wider community. None of incredible work of the MCF would be possible without Festival support. I hope you will join me in supporting this worthy charity and donate to my fundraiser. Thank you x” I am sure that all of our members would like to offer Francesca their support by donating to her fundraising page, which can be found by use of either of the following links: or or by scanning the QR code found on the flyer above. Please help Francesca reach her goal and raise money for a wonderful cause. On behalf of all Brethren, can I wish Francesca the very best of luck with both her training and the challenge ahead, and her efforts to support the MCF is both truly inspiring and greatly appreciated. Keep strong, stay motivated, and know that we are cheering you on every step of the way. |
