Four new Royal Arch Reps

The Grand Superintendent, E Comp R.V Gutteridge, has appointed four new Companions to promote the Royal Arch in their respective Lodges with a view to expanding the membership of the Royal Arch in Nottinghamshire.

Master Mason bides his time to Exaltation

We are grateful to Chris Starnes for pointing out an interesting story from another Province, he had read in Porchway News.

Flight Lieutenant Anthony Newham DFC RAF (Retired) was initiated into Greenford Lodge No 4909 in 1961. Unfortunately because of memory problems caused by an air crash in 1945 he was unable to progress in the Craft, but has always continued his membership.  In 2011 he received his 50 year certificate from his Mother Lodge.

Edwinstowe Chapter New and Not So New

On Thursday 28th January at Nottingham Masonic Hall, there was what proved to be a special evening embracing all of the Masonic traditions, principles and tenets, when Excellent Companion Michael Tomsett MEZ, assisted by Excellent Companions Jollyon Smith acting Haggai and Excellent Companion Chris Starnes acting Joshua, exalted Brother Paul Leverton into the Holy Royal Arch and the Edwinstowe Chapter.

Castle Chapter – Dramatic Exaltation Ceremony

41 Companions attended the latest convocation of Castle Chapter No 3219 on Friday 15th January 2016 at Nottingham Masonic Hall. They witnessed an exaltation ceremony with a dramatic presentation of the Principal Sojourner’s story.

A night of 'stand-ins' at Hayman

The Grand Superintendent Richard Gutteridge stood in as 2nd Principal at the meeting of his own Chapter, the Hayman Chapter on Monday 11 January. He was taking the place of Bob Patchitt who is recovering from serious illness. Richard was 2nd Principal of the Chapter some 31 years ago.
