Companion John Doyle attended Clifton chapter on Friday the 24th of June to make an interactive presentation regarding the ‘History and legacy of scribes Ezra and Nehemiah’.
This paper is a compilation of a lecture written and presented by Companion John Hall with additional content from a paper entitled ‘Free Crash Course in Jewish History – Ezra and Nehemiah’ written by Berel Wein and adapted by Yaakov Astor.
The presentation was delivered by Companion John Doyle, a Nottinghamshire Sojourner assisted by Companions John Higton (acting Scribe Ezra) and Trevlyn Murtough (Scribe Nehemiah).
Both those delivering, and those receiving, the presentation thoroughly enjoyed the informative and thought-provoking nature of the paper; which was followed by a most convivial festive board.
To book a visit from one of the team of 11 Nottinghamshire Sojourners, please contact the Provincial Grand Scribe Ezra, Companion David Scully, who will be happy to pass on your request.
