The Most Excellent Grand Superintendent (Excellent Companion R.V. Gutteridge) has congratulated the Provincial Grand Master and his administrative and ceremonial officers for a splendid Annual Craft meeting last Friday (6th May 2016). He was particularly pleased to note that 30 of the 36 acting officers appointed this year are Royal Arch Masons, highlighting the indissoluble link between the Craft and the Royal Arch.
Excellent Companion Gutteridge congratulated each of the Royal Arch Masons honoured and wished them a very happy year in office. He said:
“Nationally, there are around forty per cent of Craft Masons who are in the Royal Arch and it’s a shame that it isn’t more. Clearly there are some who really don’t want to go into the deeper meaning, which is fine because Freemasonry should appeal on different levels, but members of the Craft should really complete the journey; it’s not that much more time or expense and they really would enjoy it. It completes the circle of understanding and the basic journey.”
