An Evening of Lectures
at Harlequin Chapter
On Thursday 16th June 2016, The Harlequin Chapter provided an evening of lectures: commencing with the Historical Lecture presented by ‘J’ (Companion Robert Hunt) assisted by Companion Bob Reeve; followed by the Symbolical Lecture presented by ‘H’ (Companion Arthur Widdowson) and Companions Christopher Strong and Steve Bradford; and the Mystical Lecture was then presented by Companion Graham Jones.
This was followed by a presentation on behalf of the Nottinghamshire Sojourners by Companion Chris Yates, entitled ‘The Great or Grand Sanhedrim’. This presentation described the origin and development of the Sanhedrim’s and their purpose and importance to the Jewish religion, from Moses to the present day.
The presentation was very warmly received by the companions, and prompted the First Principal Companion Nigel Parry to comment that he had found it “very enlightening, several questions answered in one go”.
The Chapter also enjoyed a visit by Companion Anthony Hodson, on duty as the visiting Grand Chapter Liaison Officer.
