Fifty Years in Freemasonry for Bill Freeman

BillFreeman50thWorshipful Brother William Leonard Freeman (Bill) has achieved fifty years in Craft Masonry and as a member of the Bentinck Lodge.

This important event was marked by a visit to Bill’s home by the Assistant Provincial Grand Master John Starling and the Past Assistant Provincial Grand Master Richard Gutteridge who is also a member of the Bentinck Lodge. Also present were members of the Lodge and their wives and other masonic friends. Bill was also supported by his long-term companion and his carers.

Richard Gutteridge made the presentation of a ’50 Year Certificate’ from the Provincial Grand Master and in making the presentation referred to the wonderful contribution Bill had made to the Bentinck Lodge over those fifty years. Richard remembered serving as a junior officer of the Lodge when Bill was installed as Worshipful Master in October 1980.

Bill graciously thanked the provincial representatives for the presentation of the certificate and everyone present for their support. He also thanked his wonderful carers for their kindness to him and the members of Bentinck Lodge for keeping him in touch, particularly Worshipful Brother Neil Page and his wife Sylvia.
