Daybrook Lodge support School for Parents

school for parentsDaybrook Lodge No 5522 recently decided to donate a sum of money to a local 'School for Parents' in Sneinton Dale, Nottingham.

The School is a charity that provides freew Conductive Educational Support for babies and pre-school age children. The school’s remit is to educate parents of children who have:

  • cerebral palsy and associated sensory impairments
  • or who have sustained head injuries, strokes or other conditions or disabilities that affect motor developments
  • orgenetic disorders such as Downs syndrome and muscular Dystrophy, that result in delayed or impaired motor development.

They schools support either the parent or carer of such children.

Daybrook Lodge became involved through a Lodge Member, Peter Bailey, whose Daughter, Nathalie Bailey-Flitter, is the school head and general manager.

Daybrook Lodge member, Urban Burrows (Prov Grand Almoner) stated: “I presented a cheque for £250 to Mrs Nathalie Bailey-Flitter, the school general manager. I was accompanied by my wife, Marlene and we were able to sit in on a class and witness the very important work that is being undertaken. This is an extremely important and worthwhile project and I am really pleased that Daybrook Lodge was able to make this donation”.
