Rob Gellion – Artist in Residence

diversRobert David Gellion is a self-taught freelance artist with 30 years of experience. Robert will be in his temporary studio on Long Row for the duration of the Community Fun Day, where you will find him capturing the essence of the day in his own inimitable cartoon style.

He has worked in many different mediums and one of his passions is to use these mediums to change how a piece of art is perceived. A selection of his very varied work will be on display throughout the day.
Rob’s experience has led him to create wildlife portraiture for Speedo and the Mayor of Worksop; Greetings Cards for Hallmark; Independent cartoon work for Disney and MGM; and book illustration for the series of science books entitled “Did you Know”.

Robert is also a keen tutor and believes everyone can create art. He is always giving out handy tips throughout demonstrations and formal group teaching. Come along and watch him at work and maybe pick up a few tips.
